Parents' Night Out
Kids-Only Evenings of Fun and Discovery!
Pacific Science Center offers Parents' Night Out events all year round. Spend a night out (or in!) while your child enjoys private, after-hours exploration of our exhibits, hands-on activities, and a live science, planetarium or laser light show.
Your child will enjoy a light snack upon arrival and a science-themed treat later in the evening. Participants will be supervised in age groups by our outstanding and experienced staff all evening. When you come back for pick-up, be prepared for enthusiastic stories about the evening's activities.
Light up the night! Explore the properties of phosphorescence and fluorescence as your chemistry experiments shine in the dark! You'll discover how glo-sticks work and concoct your own glow-in-the-dark playdough. Be dazzled by the lights at a private laser show and top off the night by dipping into some glowing fruit sorbet.
Did you know that chocolate actually comes from a fruit? Learn about the origins of chocolate and its amazing journey from seeds on a farm to sweet treats from experts. Use measurement and chemistry to create a chocolate treat of your own and pair this concoction with a well-balanced lunch. Go on a botanical garden hunt for Pacific Science Center's live cacao tree in our exhibits and experience an educational IMAX film on the big screen.
