Washington State Leadership and Assistance for Science Education Reform (LASER) is a statewide science education program co-led by Pacific Science Center and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (operated by Battelle for the U.S. Department of Energy) in partnership with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. This public/private partnership has worked with more than 100,000 educators in more than 200 school districts to share and inspire powerful practices in science education.
To catalyze and support sustainable innovation and improvement in K-12 science education.
Since 1999, LASER has changed how science is taught and learned across Washington state.
