It's a 14-inch tall Washington Monument. It's a 10,363 carat (almost five pounds) aquamarine gemstone - 10 times the size of the next largest aquamarine gemstone. It's named after the first emperor of Brazil, Dom Pedro, and went on permanent display in December less than 30 feet from The Hope Diamond in the National Gem Collection Gallery in the Smithsonian Natural History Museum.
