SEATTLE, WA (September, 2012) - Pacific Science Center is pleased to announce Jason Keen as its new Director of Donor Relations. Keen brings valuable expertise and extensive experience from a well-rounded and successful career in fundraising.

Most recently serving as Director of Philanthropy at the American Heart Association, Keen prior served as Director of Major Gifts & Planned Giving for seven years at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, which boasts an annual budget of $30 million, an Endowment of over $26 million and more than 400,000 patrons. Working closely with Board members and key stake holders, Jason secured substantial philanthropic support for the organization and helped lead a $35 million capital campaign.

Keen joins Pacific Science Center at an exciting time as the Science Center approaches its 50th anniversary on October 22, 2012, and prepares to open its first new large-scale exhibition in nearly 15 years, Professor Wellbody's Academy of Health and Wellness. The Science Center and its Board are in the midst of a $50 million campaign, Fifty for the 50th: Future Ready, that aligns with its strategic initiatives of enhancing the participant's experience, being a driving force for science education and operating a thriving and financially stable institution. More than $26 million has been raised to date, with the new Wellbody Academy, new glass elevator, and renovated PACCAR IMAX Theater among the campus enhancements supported through the campaign.
