South Pole Update: Skiers and Other Tourists
We received another call from Graylan Vincent of Seattle who’s spending this winter at the south pole where summer is in full swing and with it lots of scientific research. Our previous reports from Graylan can be found here and here. This time he reports on just how popular that once isolated part of the world has become. And in a previous report we mentioned that if anyone has questions for Graylan to send them to SouthPole@pacsci.org. A man from Puyallup, WA wrote in asking about the ham radio setup at the pole. Graylan responded with a detailed blog post.
