About the Blood Drive

Bloodworks Northwest needs thousands of donors to donate blood each week to hep support patients in our local community. These patients receive blood for surgeries, trauma care and organ transplants. Each whole blood donation is broken into three components: red cells, platelets and plasma – so one donation can help save the lives of up to three people in need. This is a unique gift that we can take pride in sharing, and the gratitude for our support is profound.

What to Expect:

  • Donating blood is Safe and Easy
  • Takes 45-60 minutes
  • Most healthy people can donate
  • Minimum weight is 110 lbs

How to Prepare:

  • Eat a good meal
  • Drink plenty of fluids
  • Feeling healthy (no colds, flu symptoms)
  • Bring photo ID
