Exhibits & Programs
At Pacific Science Center February 18-20, 2017.
We’re kicking off National Engineers Week with a three-day celebration of engineering and the role that local innovation plays in our daily lives. Engineer It! is a Curiosity Days event dedicated to connecting professional engineers and surveyors with kids and families through hands-on exploration of the machines, ideas and people that design, move and power our society.
From robotics and electronics to construction and bio-tech, Engineer It! will showcase the innovation and creative problem-solving that the Pacific Northwest is known for. Guests of all ages can design earthquake resistant structures and put them to the test with members of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Discover the steps engineers follow to design bridges, rockets and more with the Science on Wheels engineering van. Stop by the Fix It! Lab to learn what goes on inside our consumer electronics with expert engineers and makers. Explore the biomedical technologies that help us understand and diagnose the human body with University of Washington. Tinker Tank is taking over, too! Tackle engineering challenges and with creative solutions with activities from our hands-on design space. And don’t miss live science shows featuring turbines, robots and more.
Engineer It! is included with admission to Pacific Science Center.
