Dr. Emily Hemann
University of Washington, Department of Immunology
“How do “killer” T cells stop infection and protect us after vaccination?”
Have you ever wondered how our immune systems help us get better after we’re sick or how vaccines protect us from illness? Race against time to help immune “killer” T cells stop infection and learn how vaccination can help keep you from getting sick!

Rae Eaton
University of Washington, Department of Chemistry
“Machines to Find the Invisible”
Finding Waldo in the pages of a book is easy, but what if you had to spot Waldo in his book on Earth from a satellite orbiting in space. Help build a machine that can “see” and sort different objects, and learn how scientists use machines like this to find molecules in our bodies that are much much smaller than what our eyes can see.
