Brighten your new year with an exciting afternoon exploring energy and the environment at Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center.

FREE, ALL-AGES FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

  • Explore hands-on exhibits and activities from Pacific Science Center’s Science on Wheels, including our hair-raising Van der Graaf generator. Exhibits in English and Spanish.
  • Play games and learn how to make your home more energy efficient with resources and giveaways from Puget Sound Energy.
  • Investigate energy in nature: explore how animals use insulation in the cold of winter, discover why trees can keep your home both cool and warm, conduct an experiment to see how carbon dioxide traps heat, and more.
  • Make kid-friendly crafts that demonstrate green power and the adaptations of winter animals.
