By 2023, Seattle will have the world’s first light rail running across a floating bridge. So how exactly is Sound Transit constructing a rail system across the floating I-90 bridge that flexes and twists atop Lake Washington? Join Sound Transit Deputy Executive Director, John Sleavin, to explore the unique engineering challenges of transitioning a rail system from a fixed bridge to a floating bridge that will carry an anticipated 43,000-52,000 riders daily.
