The Art and Science of Making Games
You’ve played games before, but have you ever created one? What elements need to be considered when making a new board game for both national and global markets? Join Mike Mulvihill, a game producer with Ravensburger North America, to learn about the game creation process. At Ravensburger, this process requires creativity, but diversity and global awareness are also important factors. During the event, we’ll walk through the process step by step to demystify the many aspects that go into creating games.
Founded in 1883, Ravensburger is a leading producer of puzzles and award-winning board games, as well as engaging art and science kits. As a family-owned business, Ravensburger has built a reputation as a trusted brand for parents and children alike. Its toys engage head, hand, and heart, and encourage playful development at every age and every stage. Ravensburger’s partnership with Pacific Science Center began in early 2019. From the moment they set the ball rolling in Tinker Tank with their GraviTrax marble run, Ravensburger has been on-site helping to foster curiosity and hands-on discovery. Whether with a life-sized Make N Break board game or participating in Railroad Weekend with a dedicated BRIO play space, Ravensburger is there to put “fun” in fundamental science concepts.
