Winter Animal Adaptations

Examine artifacts including skins and skulls to learn how animals thrive in their frosty habitats. Discover some of the amazing features that help them survive chilly northwest winters!

In our Winter Animal Adaptations program, we’ll learn about how different animals are specially adapted for different habitats. Explore more about habitats in Habitat Match, then use your imagination to design a habitat on Earth 100+ years from now in Adaptation Artistry.

For more activities with simple materials, check out PacSci’s Curiosity at Home web page. Explore activity sheets by age group and topic.
