Who can I name on my membership?

Named PacSci members, with the exclusion of caregivers, must primarily reside within the same household address for the majority of the year. This address should be the one listed on the membership account. On some membership levels there may be up to two named caregiver adults (such as grandparents, nannies, etc.) who can visit with named youth members and do not need to primarily reside in the membership household. Our caregiver membership slots are intended to provide flexibility for families.

How do I access PacSci/my membership benefits without a membership card?

Named members can always access PacSci without a membership card by providing their name(s) and a photo ID at our gates. If a named youth is attending with non-members in lieu of a photo ID, we will ask for additional identifying information from the membership record, such as the mailing or email address of the account, or the phone number on record.

How do I access my PacSci membership benefits online? What if I’m not seeing my PacSci membership in my online account?

To make a reservation or ticket purchase using your PacSci membership benefits ahead of your visit, you will need to login to your online account. Please be sure to use the email address we have associated with your membership account when creating or logging in online. If you receive a message that you already have an account associated with your email address but you are not able to access that account, click the “Retrieve Password” link below to trigger a password reset email.

If you are logged in to your online account, but do not see your membership information reflected there, you may have either purchased your membership through the guest checkout path, or we have a duplicate account associated with your email address. Please email Membership or call (206) 443-2924 to resolve this issue.

Does PacSci offer any discounts on personal memberships?

We offer a 10% discount for memberships purchased online. We also offer an in-person 10% discount for military and educators with proof of qualification. We cannot retroactively apply discounts to an already active membership account.

We offer a 20% discount for employees of our current corporate partners. Ask your employer, call (206) 443-2924, or email Membership to find out if your employer is one of our partners. We cannot apply corporate partner discounts to online purchases of memberships at this time. At least one corporate member employee must be named as one of the primary adult members on the discounted membership account.

How do I sign-up or renew with one of your discount qualifications?

You can purchase a 10% discounted membership online anytime!

For other discounts, proof is required at the time of purchase. Proof can include anything from a staff ID badge to an email from an employee email address. We cannot apply a corporate partner, military, or educator discount to online membership purchases at this time. Discounted memberships can be purchased or renewed on-site with Guest Services staff at the front gates or by calling (206) 443-2924.

I am planning a visit to an ASTC partner organization. How can I provide proof of my PacSci membership if I haven’t received my digital cards yet?

A Pacific Science Center membership allows you to visit any ASTC museum for free.

There are two restrictions to this rule:

1. The museum must be at least 90 miles AWAY from Pacific Science Center’s address.
2. The museum must be at least 90 miles AWAY from your home address.

Each ASTC Travel Passport Program participating institution may have its own rules and policies regarding use of this benefit and how many members qualify for free admission. We always recommend calling or emailing ahead of time to find out what kind of proof and ID these institutions require. View a full list of ASTC museums and rules and restrictions. Can’t access your digital card? No problem! Contact the PacSci Membership Office and we’ll send you email proof confirming your membership.

When will I receive my digital membership card?

If you are a new member, you will receive an invitation to download your new digital membership card in a separate email within 1-3 days. If you are a renewing member who previously had a digital membership card, that card will auto-update within 1-3 days.

Will I still need to show my Photo ID with my digital card when I check in at PacSci?

Yes, the safety of our members’ data and membership benefits is very important to us, and we want to ensure that only authorized members are using your membership benefits.

There are multiple adult names on my membership, how can the second or third person receive the card?

The primary member will receive the email invitation to download the digital membership card. They can forward the email to the other members on the account or “share” the card from their smartphone wallet. As always, we will request a corresponding photo ID upon entry to ensure that only named members are using their digital membership card.

Can I use this digital membership card to visit other ASTC Travel Passport Program museums?

Yes, please show your digital membership card and valid ID at the visiting reciprocal location for free/discounted general admission. Don’t forget to call the institution before you visit to confirm your Passport Program benefits.

Can other named members benefit from ASTC Travel Passport Program during their travels without main account holder present?

At most ASTC institutions, at least one named member (whose name appears on the digital membership card) must be present to be able to use the card for ASTC Travel Passport Program benefits. Need additional proof of membership for your travels? Contact Membership for emailed proof of your membership with a list of all named members.

Membership Refund & Discounts Policy

Pacific Science Center general memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

We cannot retroactively apply a discount to an already active membership account. Membership discounts, promotions, and special offers cannot be combined with any other discounts, promotions, or offers.

Membership Benefits Policy

Membership prices and benefits subject to change without notice. Pacific Science Center reserves the right to modify or reduce the benefits included in membership during the membership term. All benefits expire at the end of the membership term.

Membership Use Policy

Membership cards are not required for entry to Pacific Science Center. All named members can use the membership benefits with the member number and a valid ID. At least one named member must be present to use the membership and/or redeem tickets purchased with a membership discount. Additionally, members may be asked to present photo ID for verification when entering PacSci while using a digital membership card.

Members are responsible for behaving in accordance with the Code of Conduct. Pacific Science Center reserves the right to refuse or revoke membership and/or deny admission without refund at any time it is deemed necessary.

Member ASTC Travel Passport Reciprocal Admission Restrictions
