Environmental Science Pathways

Come be curious with us! Inquisitive middle schoolers inspired by the natural world are invited to join us for five Saturday sessions this spring to explore wetland ecology and practice scientific field skills. We’ll have fun learning how to identify native plants, surveying for macroinvertebrates in Polliwog Pond, get our adventure on while canoeing the Slough, and more.

Registration is now closed.

“I remember making the exothermic reaction in a vial with some of the ‘stuff’ we found in the slough, and learning about the basics of pH levels. I think of [one of the other students] and Lisa and I all having fun talking about our experiences in the lab. When I was in Pathways, I had very recently moved to the Bellevue area just about a year ago, so I didn’t know much about the environment, animals, plants, and kinds of ecosystems were there… I also was very shy and didn’t feel like talking to people back then (since I had just moved), but Pathways helped me to change, and become more social, and start to enjoy talking to others again!”
