by | Oct 21, 2015

Join Pacific Science Center for Energy Day, a day dedicated to to renewable energy and the effects of carbon emissions on Saturday, November 14.

For the grand opening of our new Live Science Show, Turning Turbines, we will host programming about energy and climate change as well as special guest presenters.  Activities will include solar robots, electric circuit-building, demonstrations about climate change, and door prize drawings (including solar panels that can charge your phone)!  Guest presenters will include Jack Newman from Seattle City Light and Meg Chadsey, a NOAA scientist.  Turning Turbines, our newest show for the Live Science Stage, features a mysterious machine that won’t run on fossil fuels and must be powered by alternative energy.  For the grand finale we turn it on to find out what it does—but we can’t do it without your help!

Energy Day is included with general admission to Pacific Science Center and FREE for Members. Complete your visit with Humpback Whales 3D in the PACCAR IMAX Theater. Learn more about Energy Day in this PacSci Podcast:
