Fizzy Sherbet – a science you can eat!

Our latest PacSci DIY is a tasty treat loaded with science. Think of it as a chemistry experiment you get to eat.

Give this British, sweet, effervescent powder a try by following Marissa in this episode of PacSci DIY, or make it on your own and see what you can do to make it sweeter, more tart and/or fizzier.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. citric acid
  • 3 tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp. of any flavor jell-o powder
