Teacher and School Groups Programs from Pacific Science Center

Pacific Science Center is joining in on Teacher Appreciation Day by offering a whole month of events and special deals for teachers. Every weekday, the Science Center hosts groups of eager students from around the state as they partake in labs, planetarium shows and view the latest IMAX documentaries. This May, we thank teachers for inspiring these students and igniting their curiosity.

On May 12 and 13, teachers can visit the Science Center for FREE to see our exhibits and an IMAX documentary by presenting their valid education credentials. The Science Center is also giving teachers two free General Admission + IMAX documentary passes valid through the summer when they bring their students on a field trip in May.

As a thank you to our dedicated, local teachers, the Science Center invited Emmerson Elementary on a field trip. Their entire fourth and fifth grade class will be exploring our hands-on exhibits and watching the new IMAX documentary, Pandas 3D. Pandas 3D follows the story of an adventurous panda cub as she learns to “go wild” in order to save her endangered species.

The Science Center believes in enabling access for all, and is proud to offer Emmerson Elementary assistance with their visit. All of our field trip packages are eligible for scholarships based on school’s Title 1 standing. Call (206) 443-2925 to learn more about our scholarship opportunities and see if your school qualifies.

Join the Science Center, the National Education Association and the National PTA in the Thank a Teacher Campaign by sharing a story on Teacher Appreciation Day. Be sure to tag the Science Center and use the hashtag #ThankATeacher!
