Life Sciences Research Weekend | Nov. 6-8, 2015
Pacific Science Center is excited to present three days of live demonstrations, interactive exhibits and talks for school children, families and citizen scientists interested in learning more about the exciting world of life sciences and the key role research plays in our daily lives.
The ninth annual Life Sciences Research Weekend at Pacific Science Center takes place Friday, November 6 through Sunday, November 8, 2015. This experience promises guests hands-on science and face-to-face time with the nation’s top research scientists from companies and research institutions across Washington state.

Polar Science Weekend | March 4-6, 2016
Investigate a real ice core from Greenland, survey microbes from the coldest parts of the world, compare an arctic ice camp with a research tent used in the Antarctic, take the salinity taste test and join a spectacular smashing ice demonstration as you meet and talk to polar researchers.
It’s all part of Polar Science Weekend, returning to Pacific Science Center for the eleventh straight year March 4-6, 2016. Presented in partnership with the University of Washington Applied Physics Laboratory, students, families and guests of all ages will enjoy three action-packed days of hands-on activities, demonstrations, exhibits and more – all transporting you to the extreme environments of the Arctic and Antarctic. You will also meet polar scientists who work in some of the most remote and challenging places on earth.

Polar Science Weekend is a partnership between Pacific Science Center and the University of Washington’s Polar Science Center and Applied Physics Laboratory, with additional support from the College of the Environment’s Future of Ice Initiative and the Quaternary Research Center. Paws-on Science: Husky Weekend | May 6-8, 2016
Huskies of all ages are invited to join University of Washington scientists and researchers for fun, interactive activities and exhibits at Paws-on Science: Husky Weekend, May 6-8, 2016 at Pacific Science Center. Learn about the boundless research breakthroughs happening in our own backyard. Don’t miss out on special appearances made by Harry the Husky, the Husky marching band, the cheer team and Dubs. UW alumni, students, faculty and staff will also enjoy a 20 percent discount on admission.
