Science in the City

Join us for an evening program that celebrates the latest in scientific research and technological innovation.

Science in the City invites experts from local organizations to discuss timely topics in science and technology and how they affect our community. Each event features a presentation designed for general audiences followed by a discussion. Some events include exciting extras such as IMAX® documentary showings, planetarium demonstrations, or even hands-on activities to further explore the evening’s topic.

Introducing the Global Health and Development lecture series: On the second Tuesday of every month, Pacific Science Center presents the Global Health and Development lecture series, part of the Science in the City program. Each event features an exciting presentation by a scientist or researcher in our region who is working on innovative, ambitious, and scalable solutions to address health problems that have a major impact in developing countries. All Global Health and Development lectures are free and have drinks available for purchase.

Our key partners in the series are the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Washington Global Health Alliance, which includes 80 member foundations, research organizations, companies, nonprofits, and universities.

Currently scheduled events are listed below. Make sure to check back frequently for newly listed events. Subscribe to our email list at the bottom of this page to receive monthly event announcements and updates. Speakers and topics subject to change without notice.
