Spectra 2018 Frequently Asked Questions

What time does Spectra 2018 start and end?

A: The party begins at 9:00 p.m. and ends at 2 a.m. Doors open to ticket holders 9:00p.m.

Where do I enter?

A: All guests will enter through our Main Gate Entrance on the Seattle Center side of Pacific Science Center. VIP guests will enter through the Membership Gate. Our Denny Way entrance will be closed. *Must have a valid form of ID to enter.

How do I get drinks?

A: Bars will only accept drink tickets to ensure a quick and enjoyable time for guests.

You can purchase drink tickets with credit card or cash at 2 designated stations: Building 1 at the Information Desk, Building 2 by Science on a Sphere.

There will be three different types of drink tickets: Cocktail, Beer/Wine, and Non-Alcoholic.

A: VIP guests will be able to take advantage of the open bar throughout the party by simply showing the VIP wristband. One drink per person per visit

Can I enter, leave and re-enter Spectra 2018?

A: There is no re-entry to Spectra 2018. There will be a designated smoking area outside of Building 2.

Will I be able to enter the event at any time?

A: There will be no entry after 11:30 p.m. when the doors close.

Will I need to have my bag checked upon arrival?

A: Yes, there will be a bag check area at the entrance to Spectra.

Is parking available?

A: Pacific Science Center’s Claypool Garage will be open and there are several parking lots in the surrounding area. Detailed parking map available here.

Will there be food available?

A: The Pacific Science Center Cafe will be open during the event. VIP ticket holders will have light hors d’oeuvres and desserts.

**NOTE: Outside food or beverage will not be allowed into the event**

Will there be coat check?

A: Complimentary coat check will be available in Building 3, conveniently located close to the entrance of the Courtyard for fireworks! VIP coat check will be available in the VIP Lounge.

What is the dress code/attire for the event?

A: We will not be enforcing an official dress code. Think festive and lively!

Is my ticket transferable or refundable?

A: All ticket sales are final, there are no refunds. No exceptions.

*FYI: At 11:30p.m., Complimentary champagne will be available at all bars for the New Year’s Toast generously donated by Chateau Ste Michelle. Everyone will receive one complimentary glass of Champagne!

*Valid Forms of ID:

  • This event is for guests 21 & over and ID is required to enter.
  • Acceptable forms of identification for entry
  • U.S. and Canadian citizens must show one of the following:
  • Government issued passport
  • State/Province issued driver’s license or identification card (hard copy)
  • Combination of paper (temporary) State/Province issued driver’s license or identification card AND expired hard copy (must have both)
  • U.S. military ID
  • Merchant Marine ID
  • Tribal ID (not all accepted)
  • U.S. Possessions issued ID
  • Citizens of countries other than the U.S. or Canada must show the following
  • Valid government issued passport (A photocopy copy of a passport not an acceptable proof of age and will not grant entry)
