Ways To Give

Your financial support ensures that Pacific Science Center remains a hands-on, engaging hub for discovery and exploration. See below for ways to get involved or contact us with questions at development@pacsci.org or (206) 443-2878.

Stock Donations

A stock portfolio is often among the most valuable assets you own — and one that can carry substantial capital gains, or appreciation in value. With careful planning, you can reduce or even eliminate federal capital gains tax while supporting our work.

To make a gift of stock please provide your broker with the following information:

DTC # 0226
Fidelity Investments
For credit to: Pacific Science Center Account # Z75-437689
Pacific Science Center Tax ID Number: 91-0750867

If you’re sending a stock, please let us know! Contact Shannon Holloway, Donor Information Coordinator, at sholloway@pacsci.org or (206) 269-5717. Please share your broker’s name and phone number, the name and number of shares you are donating, and the fund to which you are contributing.

Memorial & Honorary Gifts

Pay tribute to your loved ones with a memorial or honorary gift. Please contact us by phone at (206) 443-2878 to make your gift. By providing an address, we will be happy to notify the honoree or their family of your gift.

Planned Giving & Endowment
Leave a legacy that ignites curiosity and discovery for years to come with a planned gift. By planning your legacy gift you can maximize tax savings for you and your heirs while supporting your favorite charitable organizations. Pacific Science Center is honored to work with you and your advisors as manage your estate plans. For sample bequest language, details on legacy gift vehicles, and questions please contact Rob Wiseman, Director of Individual Giving, at rwiseman@pacsci.org or (206) 443-4624.
Donor Advised Funds
Make a gift through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF), an increasingly popular charitable vehicle that provides flexibility in supporting your favorite causes with favorable tax benefits. Donor Advised Funds may have prohibitions against certain types of donor benefits. Please contact Rob Wiseman, Director of Individual Giving, for assistance at rwiseman@pacsci.org or (206) 443-4624.
IRA Charitable Rollover

The Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act of 2015 (PATH) was signed into law by President Obama on December 18, 2015, permanently extending the IRA charitable rollover. Individuals aged 70½ and older are able to donate up to $100,000 to Pacific Science Center and other charitable organizations directly from their IRA, without treating the distribution as taxable income. In order to qualify, contributions must go directly to a public charity and be made from traditional IRAs or Roth IRAs.

To learn more about giving though your IRA, please contact Rob Wiseman, Director of Individual Giving at rwiseman@pacsci.org or (206) 443-4624.
