Join Pacific Science Center as we dance, drink, and discover under the stars—the third annual Theory is Seattle’s ultimate summer party.
Discover the quintessential elements of the Pacific Northwest with a night of craft cocktails, wine, and beer under our iconic arches. Dance the night away, enjoy a laser light show, or roll up your sleeves and build your own creation in Tinker Tank. Take our word for it: you don’t want to miss this party.
Price: $85 ($80 for Members) | 8 p.m.–1 a.m.
Ticket includes entry to exhibits, laser shows and live science demonstrations, as well as two drink tickets. Food will be available for purchase.
Price: $150 ($140 for Members) | 7 p.m.–1 a.m
Take your night to the next level with the Premium Experience; ticket includes drinks, and guests can arrive one hour before general admission for light bites and early access to activities and exhibits.
What time is the event?
The Theory Premium Experience begins at 7 p.m. and offers early access to all bars, buildings and exhibits. General Admission begins at 8 p.m. The event runs until 1 a.m. Final call for drinks at the bars will be 12:30 a.m. and the party will conclude at 1 a.m. Final entry will be at 11 p.m. Re-Entry will be considered on a case by case basis.
Where do I enter?
All guests will enter through our North Entrance, the entrance facing the Seattle Center campus. Guests will not be admitted through our South Entrance off Denny Way.
There will be designated signage pointing to General Admission, Will Call, and Premium Experience ticket entries. If you have any questions, Pacific Science Center staff will be present to help.
Where can I park?
Pacific Science Center’s Claypool Garage will be open and there are several parking lots in the surrounding area. A detailed parking map is available at the end of the FAQ.
If you plan on driving to our event, we ask that you do so responsibly. We encourage guests to use public transportation, taxis and other ride share services.
Do I need my ID?
This is a 21 and over event and a current, valid government-issued photo ID is required to enter. To start partying as soon as possible, please have it ready when presenting your ticket. If you do not bring your ID, you will not be allowed to enter the event and no refunds or exchanges will be given.
What should I wear?
Cocktail attire. Tonight you’re going big, so dress the part! We will have photographers on-site and your image may be used in promotional material for events, so look your best and say cheese.
What is included in the ticket price?
General Admission ticket includes a night of entertainment under the arches with multiple bars, DJs and dancing, Live Science Shows, Laser Karaoke, VR Experiences, and more! Each GA ticket admission will receive two drink tickets to use at the bars. GA ticketholders can purchase more drink tickets on site throughout the event. Premium Experience also includes a buffet provided by Foodz Catering. Buffet will include Caprese Salad, Antipasta, a build your own Poke Bar, and a variety of grilled flatbread pizzas. Drinks are included with the Premium Experience.
What sort of shows/entertainment will happen?
Some of this year’s confirmed entertainment includes:

- PacSci’s Laser Dome Open House
- PacSci’s Danger Science
Will the exhibits be open?
Yes! Ackerley Family Exhibit Gallery, Buildings 1, 2 and 3 will be open until Midnight.
The Laser Dome will be open until 1 a.m.
Will there be nonalcoholic beverages available?
Yes! Complimentary Coke products will be available at all bars.
What is each person’s responsibility in regard to alcohol consumption?
All guests of Theory 2019 are expected to drink responsibly and ensure they have a safe means of transportation before leaving the event. Any guest found to be intoxicated during the event and/or creating a disturbance will be asked to leave for the sake of the other attendees. Refunds will not be issued.
