A healthy lifestyle starts with knowledge. Join Pacific Science Center for the first annual Wellbody Weekend presented by Group Health October 1-2, 2016 to learn how to live your healthiest life. Through hands-on activities, experiments and demonstrations inside our exhibit Professor Wellbody’s Academy of Health & Wellness from local organizations and Science Center staff, guests will discover the components of living a healthy lifestyle and how to incorporate them into your everyday life.

Ouch Pouch Station
Create your own Ouch Pouch to remedy an on-the-go injury complete with band aids, antiseptic toweletts and adhesive pads with our friends from Bartell’s Care Clinic.
Make Fake Wounds
Learn how to make realistic-looking cuts, scrapes and learn what’s happening while your body heals.
How It Works: Organs
Engage in short demonstrations at the top of each hour that dive into different organs including the eyes, lungs, brain and heart.
Tour de Human Body
Join us in the Planetarium for a special tour inside the human body. Learn about anatomy and the science behind how our body works.
Live Science Stage Shows
Throughout the day catch either a “Blood and Guts” or “Amazing Air” show in Building 1 on the Live Science Stage.
Meet a Scientist*
Connect with local researchers in the health sciences with hands-on activities and conversations.
*Scientists will be in Building 2 from 1-4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Free Flu Shots*
Prepare for the upcoming flu season with a free flu shot provided by Group Health.

Build Up Your Plate
With the help of our Science Interpreters, create a plate that is nutritious and delicious! Learn about how to balance food groups for optimal health.
Teddy Bear Clinic
Help a Group Health provider provide a wellness exam on a toy bear using a stethoscope and other medical supplies. After your Teddy receives a clean bill of health, take the patient home with you!
