Plan Your Visit
Wild Weather Week at Pacific Science Center
February 19-25, 2018
Prepare to explore windy, warm, wet and all the wild types of weather we experience through hands-on activities and demonstrations at Wild Weather Week, February 19-25.
Experience the power of wind and create something that spins, floats or flies in Tinker Tank with the ever-popular wind table. Get an astronaut’s view of the earth on Science on a Sphere to discover weather patterns from all over the world, and discuss forecasting, hurricanes, droughts, rainfall and more with a Science Interpreter. Experiment with making clouds, rainbows and snowflakes and have one shocking experience with a Van de Graaff generator!
Only here during Wild Weather Week, experience all four seasons under one roof! Head to The Weather Station in Upper Building 4 for a dose of winter, fall, spring and summer all at once. Create a kite and watch it take flight, pile up leaves to launch into, build a sandcastle, or bundle up for a snow flurry.
Complete your visit with the IMAX documentary, Hurricane 3D. Follow the true story of a 15,000-kilometer journey in the footsteps the Atlantic Hurricane. See footage from NASA as the Atlantic Hurricane begins its journey in Senegal and continues into the Caribbean.
Wild Weather Week activities will be available throughout February 19-25. See what activities we have planned for this wild week below.
